DAY 1 – Friday 15th May

Welcome to South Africa! You will be met on arrival at KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport). Your guide will take your through to Perry’s Bridge Hollow to settle in and freshen up. Please ensure you arrive before 12:00.

This evening is going to be something special. We have arranged for you to visit the Shangana Cultural Village for a cultural evening of African cuisine and African dance. The evening includes a show with a cast of choir members, actors and dancers who tell the story of the Shangaan nation. At interval, the chief’s wives will serve a traditional feast in traditional Shangaan huts, including an array of Shangaan dishes … and a few exciting foods that a few of you may like to try.

Head back to Perry’s Bridge for a good night’s rest.

DAY 2 – Saturday 16th May

Today you will be heading off on a full day panoramic tour. Your guide will collect you from Perry’s Bridge at 9:00 after breakfast. He will then take you on a scenic road trip through the little town of Sabie to Graskop on what Mpumalanga calls our panoramic route.

You will visit Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window before stopping for lunch in Graskop. Graskop is a quaint town which is worth a walk around. Peruse the art galleries and curio shops before heading back to Hazyview for an early night.

The evening is yours to do as you please. Enjoy one of the many restaurants on offer at Perry’s Bridge or choose to stay in and order room service.

DAY 3 – Sunday 17th May

There will be an early wake-up today, as you will be heading into the Kruger National Park for an early morning game drive. Your guide will collect you at 5:30am. We will arrange a pre-packed breakfast, so that you can take full advantage of the early morning in the park. Please remember to bring warm clothes to wear on your game drive. It is the start of winter in South Africa and it can get very cold on the back of an open vehicle. Bring: jacket, jumper, scarf, beanie and gloves.

The drive from Perry’s Bridge to the Kruger gate is 30min away. Once you are in the park, your game viewing will commence. Your guide will no doubt be as enthusiastic as you are too be in the bush and will introduce you to the huge array of fauna, flora and birds in the area. Your game drive will end at Skukuza rest camp where you will be able to check-in and register for the conference. Once done with all the formalities, have a bite to eat at the restaurant and take the rest of the afternoon to relax before the welcome function at 18:30.
